12 weeks!  Can you believe it?  We are coming close to the finish line … just a handful of weeks left to go!  We had 24 people reporting in this week (if you’re late, it’s okay, still send it on in!) – you guys are doing amazing!  Finish strong!

Our Biggest Loser of the week actually managed to break the 2% barrier!  Teresa P pounded off 2.11%!  Amazing!  Close behind, with a 1.89%, Scott T took second place for the week!  You two rock!

Our 1% Hall of Fame this week includes, in no particular order, Felicia T, Kelsey C, Jeanette P, and Linda C!

  3. Wow! 2%! That is awesome! Congratulations! I didn't loose any weight this week, but I have a little story to share that really made me feel proud of myself after a stand still on the scale.

When I first sent in my pictures I tried to find a shirt that was tight, so it would be a good representation of what I looked like for a comparision at the end of the challenge. Well, I had been curious to try it on again, but I was a little nervous to see how it would fit now. I gave it a try last night and it fit perfectly! It almost fit better then when I got the shirt last June. That moment looking in the mirror was one of the best moments I've had in a really long time. I'm usually really hard on myself and don't give myself praise as much as I should. That little shirt was such a wake up call to me that I am doing an amazing job and if I continue to push through even the thoughest weeks when the scale doesn't move, I will reach my goals!

Thanks for listening guys! I just really wanted to share that in hopes that it may inspire someone else out there!

  4. That's wonderful Amanda. Isn't that an amazing feeling? I did that recently with a pair of pants and a shirt. I'm sad too though because the shirt was too big! I NEVER wore the darn thing!!!! Ever. I can't wait to clothes shop after I hit my goal. Anyone else going to go on a clothes shopping spree (I can't afford it but oh well! LOL)

  5. Thanks! and WTG everyone. It was nice to finally see some success. The past several weeks have been hard for me. It was nice to have a move (and such a big one) in the right direction.

  6. Hey Everyone… great job! My husband Sean is almost about to break an important number. Say a prayer he does it, it will be so rewarding and encouraging for both of us. I think he's just 2 lbs away!

  7. Hi Everyone!

Alex and I are hanging in there this week….the emotions and stress of losing a very close friend has led us to eat very poorly mainly out of exhaustion with helping with all the services and just because we are emotional eaters. We are back on track today but struggling all around.

We pray for a loss this week somehow!

    Have a blessed day!

  8. How is everyone doing. This is week 4 of exercising 4 days a week HARD with my trainer. Food wise I do good until night time and find myself snacking on not so good stuff. So this weekend I bought some Skinny Cow ice cream bars. I shouldn't have it at all but it's better than binging on other stuff. they are only 100 calories so that is nice.

make is a good day eveyrone and chime in.

  9. Karla, that is also when I do all my snacking (at night). I have found so many different kinds of ice cream that is sugar free and low in calories- it is crazy how much ice cream I am eating and still losing weight. That is why I am counting calories, I don't have to deprive myself. I found a kind of ice cream on a stick called Rootbeer floats are 50 calories, I love those things. 🙂 You almost sound like you feel guilty about having ice cream, but if it is low in calories and you eat it in moderation you shouldn't feel guilty. If you deprive yourself it makes you want it even more. I have learned that you can eat healthy and still enjoy it.

  10. I agree with Leisia. Counting calories is the best because you can eat pretty much whatever you want, as long as you stay within your calories. I really like pizza and I've had it a coulpe times just making sure I stay within my calories. Of course you don't want to eat that kind of stuff everyday, but when you are craving it you should have it or you will splurge one day and go way over your calories.

I hope everyone is having a good week!

  11. I'm working my butt off but my food intake isn't so great. I count calories but then I always seem to cheat now. No wonder I'm still stuck at or above the number I was a few weeks ago huh? And why am I even working out if I'm going to blow it? Zoiks. I gotta get a grip and buckle down. My goal was August 4th to lose the 104 pounds and I had only lost 66 of them!
