We have a big all nighter coming up for our high school students called Endless Night. It should be a LOT of fun; lazer tag, batting cages, dodgeball, floor hockey, swimming, video games, inflateables, etc. We’re even giving away an iPod Touch (sweet!). So I decided to have some fun designing a t-shirt for the night – it will be a giveaway that we’ll be passing out over the course of the night. And now, for your viewing pleasure, the genesis of my t-shirt design:
This was my first design. Personally, I think it’s hilarious. However, some seemed to think it was a little too much potty humor and insinuated the wrong kind of party. So I went ahead and toned it down a bit.
This was take two. I got rid of fart man in exchange for break dancing dude, but left the swirly duo in. Personally, I think stick figure swirly people are completely funny, but my lovely wife found them completely offensive, so I swapped it up.
I finally thought I was ready to roll. Heather was on board, fart man makes me crack up every time, and I was loving the t-shirt design. However, my assistant, Chris, convinced me that none of the girls would wear the shirt anywhere in public, and only some of the guys would. I thought he might be right, which defeats the purpose of the shirt: turning my teens into walking billboards for the event. So, that brought me to my fourth, and final design:
Personally, even without the potty humor I still love it. Some thing about stick figures just seems very cool to me right now. So what do you think? Which design would you wear?

Love all the designs but agree with each critic. The swimming one took a minute to understand but it's totally wearable even by us girls. I agree…stick figures are cool.

LOL! I forgot to explain that one was a swimmer! Although, some think it looks more like someone drowning than swimming …

Thank you soooooooo much for the laugh!!!! I LOVED them all!!!!!!!!!!! You should have had fart man first, then fireman then the stop drop and roll dude and then the guy praying in bed and thankful he is still alive!!!!! You are HILARIOUS!!!! I would wear any of them!!!!!!! I had tears coming out of my eyes they were so funny!!!!!

Personally I like the swirly duo, I think it's funny too. Fart man however is too puerile for me. And break dancing dude looks like he's fallen down from drunkenness. So I would have to say that I like design #2.

I like them all but the last one is probably the best one. But the real question is, can you send me the document so I can use it for my next lock-in? 🙂 No, really, can you?

There is no doubt that the first is the best and an accurate description of a party in the high school boys dorm in Tambo… and my opinion is that your designs get more lame with each incarnation. However I do understand that there exist people who do not understand the proper value of your original humor!

I like the 2nd one. I didn't know what the swimmer was by just looking at it. I think you should make real good use of every pic on it so it will be an effective tool in getting kids interested. That is a great idea….I think we may do something like that at our church. Thanks for the idea!
