Let me introduce you to Zachary Noel McNutt! He was born today (July 26th) at 2:42pm. He weighed in at 9 pounds, 11 ounces and measures 21.5 inches. He’s a big boy all right! It was a pretty crazy day … if there was actually one day that I didn’t want him to show up on (no offense, little Z!) it was today! I was supposed to perform a wedding at noon – I managed to track down another minister to fill in for me at the last minute while we were driving to the hospital! Sheesh! In the end, Zachary was one week late (like his brother Caleb), which isn’t so bad considering that both Noah and Micah were two weeks late!
We got to the hospital just after 10am – the other three boys crashed at my parents’ for the day and had fun with Grandma and Papa McNutt. We actually had time to watch a movie before the contractions got serious, then they got painful for a while, and then the actual pushing. My sister and my mom are both bitter with jealousy – Heather pushed for a whopping 15 minutes and then he was out. It was rediculous just how fast it all went down. We expected it after how fast Noah showed up on the scene two and a half years ago, but even so this little guy was even quicker.
After a little down time my mom brought the boys over to meet their new brother. Their reactions were fun; Micah wants to hold him all the time. He’s very excited to have a new brother and wants to help with him. Caleb checked him out and then wanted to talk about all the stuff he did while we were gone. Noah wasn’t even remotely interested in Zachary – he just wanted to get Heather’s attention!
Anyway, that’s all for now. I’m exhausted! Here are some pictures from my cell phone – I forgot the digital camera with the all the best photos at the hospital, so these will have to do for now! Enjoy!
