I continued my way through Acts today, reaching Acts 5:12-16 in my somewhat selective sermon series. In other words, I’m kinda picking my highlights on my way through the book. I actually opened with a clip from Bluefish TV’s Shorts DVD, “Imagine being this excited about God” (follow the link to view it on Bluefish’s site). Bluefish TV is probably the most reasonable sermon illustration video download site out there charging only $1.99 per clip (compared to most sites charging $10-$20 per clip)!
Basically, I was talking about the difference in being just interested in God and being passionate about God, and the resulting effects on the local church. Basically, Acts 5:12-16 is really a payoff of the earlier chapters and the absolute whole hearted commitment of the early church.
