Palm Sunday sermon (audio)

We had a good day at church today!  Doris, Kathi and I had put together an Easter party for kids fifth grade and under following the service, with an Easter Egg hunt, craft, games, lunch and a message for the kids that ended up bringing out a ton of kids.  Even the children’s choir saw its biggest performance in years with twenty kids up on the platform waving their palm leaves and singing a couple songs they’ve been practicing!  Micah (my oldest) did fantastic!  All three boys had a blast at the party, each coming home with a bag full of eggs.  Good times!

Meanwhile, in adult world, I gave the message today.  Oddly enough, I went ahead and preached on the events of Palm Sunday.  : )  Actually, I love talking on the subject, so it was fun for me to prepare.  The above video is a clip that I used before the message began, and then I used the verse at the end of it as kind of my theme verse:

Proverbs 26:12 (NKJV) – Do you see a man wise in his own eyes? There is more hope for a fool than for him.

I zeroed in on people’s wrong assumptions about who Christ was and what His role was and is – and how because of it, He wept at what they were missing out on.  Anyway, if you want to hear it, you can download the audio by right clicking the link below and selecting “save target as” to save it to your computer:

I am from Nepal. I am pastoring in a church. I find this kind of website very helpful for my one study. We preach week after week and I find myself that I need to hear as well. Well Word of God is there and it is enough. Same time it is very helpful to learn from others. God reveal HIS word to his people and it is good to learn from others too. I appriciate your willingness to share with others.
