Fascar Rally a big hit!

We had our second annual Fascar Rally on Monday night!  It was a big hit!  Duane Gregory, our Word of Life regional missionary, came and led the night.  Basically, there’s a giant track that streches across the room that kids race their Hot Wheel cars on.  It can track times down to a thousandth of a second and is connected to a computer that posts the times and leaders up on the video projector, making for a great visual presentation.  On top of that, the room was filled with racing flags and banners.  It’s an awesome event because anyone can participate; we had it set up for four year olds through fifth grade (there were four divisions), and awarded 13 trophies at the end of the night (three for each division as well as a grand champion trophy).  We did the event last year just to try it out and people haven’t stopped talking about it since.  I know my two older sons have been asking about it literally every month wanting to know when it would happen again – and the last few days they have been practically bouncing off the walls with excitement!  Definitely a great event; Word of Life does have several different Fascar Rally teams out there so if you’re a youth worker looking for an easy and fun family event, contact your area representative and ask if they have a Fascar team!
