Tending the Temple Challenge week 10 results (finally!)

Wow!  This took me a while!  I’m out of town for the holidays and the hotel we’re at had their internet out of commission for a few days because of a snow storm or something like that.  Whatever it was, it was driving me crazy!  I never realize how web dependant I am until I go without it for a few days!!!

We are in the home stretch!  December 16th is the final weigh in day!  Let’s give a push and finish strong!  Our winner will be announced on Wednesday, December 17th.  It will work like the kick off; I’ll post a picture that you have next to the scale when you weigh in (it will be different than the first one), it needs to be the same scale (but you can paint your toenails a different color), and we’ll see who our Biggest Loser is!

This week, Rebecca absolutely killed the competition with a 2.08% loss!!!  In week ten!  That’s amazing!  Jay was our other superstar this week, bringing home a 1.05% loss!  There might have been a couple others out there, but not many of you reported in!!!  I’m blaming holiday stress …

So, how did you all fare on Thanksgiving?  What were your secrets to success?

  1. Thanks Matt. Honestly I'm SO happy because I have been in a slump ALL November! I didn't have any secrets. I worked out harder but not more times… just harder even for the same amount of time. But I think as you've said before sometimes our bodies just get in a platue mode and once that's over, it's back to business. Great job Jay! In the end it's not about winning the whole competition even though the physical prize Matt's giving away is awesome. If we all lose some weight, we've all won! I don't know about you guys but I feel incredible for being able to lose weight on my own!!! I'm scared about Tuesday's weigh in just because of all the eating.

  2. Gooooo Rebecca!!!!! And Kudos to Jay. Hey Rebecca do you know if there is a website where I can get some questions answered or read up about some pointers on Dr. H program?

  3. The only secret I try to hang onto is not to overdo. I try to control myself, enjoy a little of everything and then work hard. We'll see how well that works at Tuesday's weigh in.

    Congrats Rebecca, 2% is hard!

  4. I wish there was Felicia! I have a couple questions myself. But so far I haven't found a place to ask questions. I suppose we could probably get an address and write snail mail!

And thank you both. I'm going to be happy if I maintain this week!

  5. Hey Matt,
Will you be doing this again. I am so in. I won't wait to start until you do it but, I will join up as soon as it begins. I can't get any of my obese friends to do this with me and it is really difficult doing this alone. My hubby is really supportive though – he is great! Please let me know.

  6. Matt I'm with kristin if you will be doing this again for the Jan biggest loser, Id' like to participate also. Away from family right now so this will be good to do.

  7. Oh and Matt glad you family made it back home safely after the holidays.

  8. I'm in too! I don't know what I'll be in January, probably around 210 ish? That is still 40 or so pounds to lose for me. I will participate knowing I couldn't possibly win that one due to not having much to lose but I LOVE doing this with you and it's not the winning that motivates me. It's the doing it with other people and seeing results. I love hearing you guys' results too. My one friend Linda is SO overweight and it's terrifying me because she's getting bigger and bigger. But she won't do anything about it. She's probably at least 350. She's absolutely gorgous in the face too… can't imagine her thinner. And she's got a 5 and 3 yr old. UG how do you get someone to wake up!?

P.S. Matt people at church were asking what the prize package was for this and I couldn't remember other than a couple dvd's from BL workout. Where is it on the site?
