Time for the Student Quest Sunday recap for August, 10th, 2025!
I (McNutt) was preaching this week in the main services so I wasn’t in Student Quest; Melissa was on her family vacation as well and Eden was at her brother’s wedding. Danielle Leach (summer intern) and Matt Spanakos (Future Leader Intern) ran the show!
We had a few announcements/reminders:
- This Saturday is the Wilmington Blue Rocks game (August 16th), signup online – there are limited tickets and once they’re gone, they’re gone!
- Small Groups are kicking off with our Block Parties on August 27th (Middle School) and August 28th (High School), 6:30-8:00pm.
- The Fall Retreats are coming! The high school retreat is September 5-7, the middle school retreat is September 19-21. You can register for one or both retreats here.
Danielle taught our high school students this week, Matt taught middle school:
- Matt’s topic with the middle school was Love vs Lust. A follow-up question for your kids that attended is: What are some practical ways that someone your age can “guard their heart” in today’s world?
- Danielle’s topic with the high school was Joy vs. Pride. A couple follow-up questions for your kids that attended are: Can you think of a time when pride led you to make a not-so-great choice? How could humility have changed that situation?
