Time for the Student Quest Sunday recap for November 16th, 2025! We opened the hour with a game I made called Over Under: Turkey Time … it’s not too early to be thinking about Thanksgiving, right?
We had a few announcements/reminders:

Eden Foester taught our high school students this week, Noah McNutt taught middle school. The high school group was in the third of three weeks in a series called And Justice for All, middle school was in the third of three weeks in a series called Jeremiah: The Weeping Prophet.
And Justice for All: This series explores three times that Jesus healed people who many would have considered unworthy and challenges students to offer the same type of compassion to others. This week Eden taught on the story of Jesus healing the Centurion’s servant. The big idea was that Jesus came to bring justice to the Oppressed and the Oppressor. Here is a follow up question you can ask your middle school student(s):
- The Roman officer showed faith by believing Jesus could heal from a distance. How can we trust Jesus when we can’t see Him working?
Jeremiah: The Weeping Prophet: In our final week looking at the book of Jeremiah, we read Jeremiah’s letter to God’s people living in exile. Even though they were far from home and facing hardship, God told them to settle in, live faithfully, and trust His plan. His promise wasn’t for instant rescue but for future hope and restoration, that He still had good plans for them. We talked about how God’s plans are bigger than our hard moments, and that real hope is found when we keep seeking Him with our whole hearts. Here are some follow up questions you can ask your high school student(s):
- What do you think it means to “live where you are” when life feels hard?
- Why do you think God sometimes asks us to wait for His plan instead of fixing things right away?
- What’s one way you can “go all in with God” this week; at home, school, or with friends?
