Time for the Student Quest Sunday recap for October 18th, 2026! We played a game using Sidekick Pro that was a lot of fun! I was traveling a lot this past week so I had Sidekick generate a Homecoming themed trivia game with eight questions that kids could answer using their phones. It allowed us to let everyone play (kids without phones teamed up with kids that did). Super simple to use, tons of fun. We also used it to present our worship and teaching slides. Gamechanger! Our teaching time kicked off a three week series called 2Afraid2Ask covering basics of the faith that people might be embarrassed to ask from Coleader.
We had a few announcements/reminders:
- Student Quest is temporarily combined in the Loft while construction displaces Adult Christian Ed into the gym.
- Download our app! It has our event calendar, updates, photos, social links, podcast feed, video feed, and more! Find it on the Apple app store and Google Play store!
- Construction is continuing. Students can get to the Sunday student hour and other student events through the main entrance. Just follow the signs!
This week, Ellie Mercer, part of our Young Adults ministry, taught our combined group and kicked off our series by looking at the topic of prayer. The big idea was that prayer is how we connect with God, a point Ellie dove into with personal stories and scripture. Here are some follow up questions you can ask your student(s):
