It’s been a couple weeks since our eighth annual Renew Student Conference … I’m so happy with how it all came together! It is my favorite event of the year; I’m already thinking and dreaming about next year. This was our biggest year yet with right around 500 people participating total … one of the best affirmations we get as a team organizing this event is the steady growth from year to year.
Highlights for me this year included having Mari Trapp from Download Youth Ministry be able to be one of the speakers, Ben Bender from the Philadelphia Union team come out, and watching Dustin Tavella perform his full show live – I was a big fan of his during his season of America’s Got Talent so it was exciting to have him here! We had three different student worship teams lead over the course of the two days, one of them was our student team – it’s always so special to see students leading students in worship! We also had the Ripe Creatives spoken word crew, Mercy Jewel, Jessica Campbell and Jon James … if anything, I might have packed the schedule a little too much!
