Okay, so I haven’t blogged about this yet … but now I’m going to start hinting at it …
I got updates today on two different book projects that I’m excited to be a part of. One is coming out in just a matter of weeks … the other will be out next summer. In both books I am one author of several; they both have the format of taking a topic and having a variety of authors each writing a chapter from their own perspective. What’s exciting about it for me is that they’re both completely different books, totally unrelated, and yet both deal with topics very close to me!
“The Youth Worker’s Book of Hope” is a book that will be coming out next summer. Full of stories to offer hope to a hurting youth worker, or someone in the middle of a struggle/crisis/difficult situation, it’s a great book for that person looking to see hope in what at first might seem a hopeless youth ministry situation. I can’t wait to see this one come out; Youth Specialties is the publisher putting it together, one of my absolute favorites. I’ll be posting more updates over the school year as we come closer to our release date. At the moment we’re still at the editting stage with my chapter going back and forth between me and the editors. Awesome!
Even more exciting to me is a health related book with stories of weight loss, transformation and more. I’m going to keep you in suspense about this one for a little longer, but suffice it to say that you’ll probably recognize my co-authors in it! I’m very, very excited about this one and my chapter in it. I had an absolute blast writing it and can’t wait to finally hold my copy of the book in just a handful of weeks … stayed tuned for more information. I’m hoping to post the cover art sometime next week!
