Kony 2012

Last Sunday we hosted Invisible Children during our Student Quest hour. Their goal is to build awareness about Joseph Kony, one of the worst criminals in the world – a true terrorist forcing children to become soldiers for decades now. In building awareness, the goal is to force the governments to act on the injustices being suffered in Africa at his hands.

They showed us the above documentary and had a great question and answer time. They’ve been making films/documentaries for years now, but I love that they’ve done something different with this one: they’ve made it available for free to spread the word. You can watch it on Youtube. You can go to their Kony2012 website and download the video file for free to your mobile device, or HD quality version for your TV. Very cool how easy they are making it for our online culture to access the film.
