Time for the Student Quest Sunday recap for April 12th, 2026! Melissa opened the hour with a fun ice breaker called Partnered Prompts. It’s a great resource for getting kids talking to each other. For our teaching time, we kicked off a series from Coleader called Relationship Goals.
We had a few announcements/reminders:
- Small groups are BACK this week! We can’t wait to see everyone Wednesday (middle school) and Thursday (high school) night, 6:30-8:00pm!
- Next Sunday is the third Mandatory Missions Trip Meeting, April 19, 12:30-2:30pm. Participants need to bring a lunch and their missions folders.
- Student Worship Night, Sunday, April 26, 7:00-8:30pm, 6-12 grade, in the gym. It’s going to be special night of student-led worship! Students and their friends are all invited to come out for it.
- Construction has begun on the church renovations! For the next month or so, students will only be able to get to small groups and the Sunday student hour through the main entrance. Just follow the signs to the student area!
We kicked off a three week series called Relationship Goals. This three-week series is specifically designed to prepare our students for the world of dating relationships, offering them biblical wisdom and practical advice for building relationships that honor God. Melissa Stein taught high school, Eden Foester taught middle school. This weeks message is called Be Selfless, Not Selfish. The big idea? Selfishness is the poison that kills healthy relationships. Learning to be selfless is foundational for a godly relationship. Here is a follow up question you can ask your student(s):
- How can being selfless instead of selfish change the way we approach relationships?
Normally we post the video and audio from our lessons; I was away this week and there were some glitches that prevented it from being recorded. We’ll be back on it next Sunday!
