I am continuing to work my way through all the Star Trek movies in preparation for the May 8th release of the eleventh movie!  First Contact is the eighth movie in the series, the second featuring the Next Generation crew.  For many, this is considered to be the best of the Next Generation movies – I’m not sure if it’s my favorite or not.  I’m actually pretty equally torn between it and Nemesis.

This movie was directed by Jonathan Frakes, who plays Commander Riker.  He definitely nailed the magic that is Star Trek; he knew the characters, told a great story, and put together a great, fast paced and well told story.  Lots of fun moments and great adventure.  It had a great villian in the Borg and I loved the exploration of Picard and Data in the story.

All in all, a great movie.  Definitely one of the best out of all ten films.  Now, on to Star Trek: Insurrection!
